Population Served: In 2018, Lamprey Health Care served over 16,000 people, providing 68,900 visits. Over 76% of patients earn at or below 200% of Federal Poverty. 19% are uninsured, 27% covered by Medicaid, and 22% need language support.

Project: Development and Fundraising Department.

Grant Type: Seed Grant.

Problem: To extend current services or create new programs to meet the needs of the communities they serve, Lamprey Health Care is in need of new funding sources. Past efforts of fundraising have been a sporadic endeavor, heavily focused on grants.

Solution: Lamprey Health Care will be using its Capture Cares Seed grant funds to hire a Development and Grants Coordinator. This coordinator will focus solely on reorganizing and updating the current donor database, establish protocols and procedures for recording and acknowledging individual and corporate donations, design a budget and strategic plan for fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and solicitations.

Capture Cares is committed to continuing with its efforts to enable the missions of covered entities.
